For personal data collected through this website (enquiry forms, chat, cookies and analytics), the data controller is S&K Group Holdings Ltd, company number 16703925, Unit 1 Hembs Crescent, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 5DG, which operates the S&K Group’s websites. When you go on to ask for a quote or agree works, S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd is the controller for your quote, contract and customer records.
What we collect
- Details you give us: name, phone, email, property postcode, and what you tell us about the works.
- Guide-price tool answers, if you send them.
- Chat messages, if you use live chat.
- With your consent only: analytics data about how the site is used.
- Basic technical data our hosting provider logs for security.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a site visit (steps before a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries).
- To prepare quotes and carry out works (contract).
- To keep records we are required to keep (legal obligation).
- Analytics and chat cookies (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
Who we share it with
Service providers who help us run the website and handle enquiries: Web3Forms (form delivery), Tawk.to (live chat, only if you use it or accept chat cookies), Netlify (hosting), Google Analytics (only with your consent), and our email provider. Within the S&K Group, details may be shared with the group company that will quote for or carry out your works. We never sell your data.
International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 24 months. Customer and contract records: up to 7 years after the work ends, for tax, warranty and legal reasons.
Your rights
